What is BERA?
Berachain is a Layer-1 blockchain designed for decentralized finance (DeFi) that uses a novel Proof of Liquidity (PoL) consensus model. Unlike traditional blockchains, PoL requires validators to provide liquidity to the network to participate in consensus, aligning incentives and improving DeFi efficiency. It is also EVM-compatible, making it easy for developers to build on and deploy Ethereum-based applications .
